Our Story
Don and Dolly Grupalo purchased their 8-acre parcel of land in the Yountville Appellation of the Napa Valley in 1988. Shortly thereafter, the existing apple orchards were removed and the first vineyards were planted. For the next 15 years, the grapes would be harvested and sold to various Napa Valley wineries. In 2007, the decision was made to hire a winemaker and establish a quality wine under the original spelling of our Italian family name – Groppallo.
Today, Groppallo Vineyards includes 6 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel varietals. The wine team includes our winemaker, Massimo Monticelli; Pina Vineyard Management and the Grupalo family members.
It is our goal to produce world class wines which will inspire quality conversation and meaningful interaction with close friends and family.
